Recipe for a Healthy Holiday:

Statistics show that stress increases during the winter Holidays. The added responsibilities and commitments can create a demanding schedule. This leads to a compromised lifestyle with poor eating and sleeping habits. Healthy food choices take a back seat to favorite holiday goodies at work, parties, and family gatherings. Longer days with less down time infringe on sleep. After a short time the body starts to weaken, leaving a persontired, irritable, and more susceptible to colds or flu. To fend off the effects of stress and avoid being a scrooge, incorporate the following recipe to help maintain sanity and health during a potentially hectic season.

Blend together daily:

  • 8+ hrs sleep
  • 50+ oz. water
  • 2 Vegetables with every meal (variety is key)
  • 1 Daily multi vitamin (preferably liquid or chewable)
  • 1000mcg of B12 for added energy
(for added mood balance substitute with a B-Complex)

  • 20 min. Exercise
  • 10-20 min. quiet time with Aromatherapy(pine, sandalwood, or lavender)
  • Family timewith sit down meals
  • 4 Apples sliced and tossed with cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg to ward off Holiday snack attacks.
  • Top off with a total body purification and cleanse in January.
