Before: The approach for Acupuncture depends on the one administering it but is usually a blend of Eastern and Western approach. Before starting an Acupuncture Boca Raton the practitioner will ask you questions about your overall health, symptoms, behavior and lifestyle among other things. After this, they will determine which points need to be remedied.
During: The practitioner will tell you the general area of the planned treatment. There are times that the acupuncture points are far from the affected site. You then lie on a padded table wearing either a gown, towel or a sheet that is provided. Around five to twenty small, thin needles will then be inserted. Sometimes, the needles will be moved or twirled after placement. Typically, the needles will stay in place for about 10-20 minutes while your body is still and relaxed, and then they will be removed.
After: After the needles are removed, some patients will either feel energized or relaxed.
