Cupping Boca Raton is broadly classified in three types: dry cupping, wet cupping and massage cupping. Here is a closer look at each of these types.

• Dry cupping – In this type, stationary cups are placed on the skin and left for a period of five to 15 minutes in one location This is the process of using a vacuum on different areas of the body in order to gather the blood in that area without incisions (small, light scratches using a sterile surgical blade or disinfected razor).
• Wet cupping – Also called Hijama, this is the process of using a vacuum at different points on the body but with incisions in order to remove 'harmful' blood, which lies just beneath the surface of the skin. Only a cupping therapist is allowed to administer this type.
• Massage cupping – This is the common cupping technique where oil is applied to the skin before the actual cupping to facilitate smooth movement. The use of oil also lets the therapist discover the areas of tension and congestion in the body.
